Calling All Littleton Sandbox Squads: A Kid’s-Eye Review of Kids Dig!

Hey there, fellow explorers! Today, I’m taking you on a sandy adventure to Kids Dig in Littleton, Colorado. Buckle up (or should I say, grab your pail?) because we’re about to dive into a world of pure digging fun!

First Impressions: Sandy Paradise!

Walking into Kids Dig feels like stepping onto a giant beach. There’s a massive sandbox overflowing with 40 tons of sand – that’s like a mountain of sandcastle possibilities! They have all the coolest sand toys you can imagine, from Tonka trucks bigger than me to shovels and pails galore. Plus, there are these awesome conveyor belts and pipes to whoosh sand around – it’s like having a mini construction site!

Let’s Get Digging!

The best part? You get to unleash your creativity and build whatever your heart desires. I went straight for the Tonka trucks and dug a giant trench, then used the conveyor belt to transport sand to build a super tall sandcastle. My friend Maya built a whole city complete with roads and canals, and there was even a group building a giant moated fort – teamwork makes the dream work!

More Than Just Sandcastles

While the sandbox is the main attraction, there’s also a little play area with toys and blocks for those who want a break from the sand. Parents can relax on comfy couches and watch their little ones play, or even hop in the sand themselves (adults are welcome to get messy too!).

Kid-Approved Tips

  • Dress for a mess: Sand gets everywhere, so wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty.
  • Bring a change of clothes: Especially if you plan on being there for a while, it’s nice to have a clean outfit for the ride home.
  • Pack some snacks and drinks: All that digging can be hungry work!
  • Don’t forget the sunscreen: Even though it’s indoors, sunlight can still peek through the windows.

The Final Verdict: Thumbs Up for Sandy Fun!

If you’re looking for a place where kids can unleash their inner builders and have a blast, then Kids Dig is the place to be. It’s perfect for rainy days, birthday parties, or just a fun day out with friends. With tons of sand, cool toys, and a space to relax, it gets a big thumbs up from me!
